NZ HERALD VIVA: HEARING DAMAGE
27 SEPTEMBER 2017
Grace Wright’s energetic works combine movement and colour in a feast for the eyes. She recently completed a residency at Hawke’s Bay gallery Parlour Projects where she completed an ambitious 11x6m work inspired by the region. Whatever the size of her paintings, it would be easy to become lost in them for hours. Grace graduated with honours from Elam in 2014 and her swift rise to recognition means she’s often mentioned as “one to watch”. If you’ve yet to see her works in person, it’s well worth popping past the group show Tastes Like Honey, currently on at Gus Fisher Gallery.
